How to make a good music video

During workshop, our group looked at videos on YouTube on tips about how to make a good music video. We found some very useful tips which include things such as having a good actor within the video. Having a good actor meant that we could tell the story of our song through movement and facial expressions which makes the video more entertaining and appealing to our audience. The actor in our music video is a drama student which makes things easier for us. Having an inexperienced actor meant that they might laugh throughout filming and we may have to keep capturing the same footage which could be time consuming.  Also the idea of having the camera moving all the time and not have a lot of static camerawork, (e.g. when the actor is walking towards the camera, the cameraman would be moving in time with the actor).
We plan to use a camera rig whilst we film which will make holding the camera much simpler and will help with free movement.
