independent research: analysis of brand identities in cross media products.

The analysis of creating a synergous brand identity.

As a class we started off with the very well known Daft Punk 'Get Lucky' and we all noticed how the masks were in all of the videos, album covers teaser trailers etc.

But Mary being an amazing teacher wanted us to be individual so that you don't have to watch or read about Daft Punk all the time, and asked us to do one of our own choice. 
I chose to do Ab-Soul's: Control system.

Here is his a picture of his Album cover:                                                                                                       Which has a mostly black, and dark background. 
It has a huge Kabbalah Tree of life with his name in the middle.
All the text is in a white-ish looking colour. 
It has the logo of his record label in the bottom right corner. 
Then in one of the few songs in this album with a video, we see some of the same elements of the album cover being used. We even see the album cover in this video in the for of a vinyl record. We see the white text being used again, the continuous dark backgrounds. 

In this video, we are introduced to a new element of this artist which is carried on into another video of his. This element is the sight of burning money. 
The second video follows many of the same themes as the first video, including the labels logo, the white text, the very dark backgrounds and so on.
