Research for a Digipak

Some of the things you should keep in mind while designing a Digipak:
- Use colours effectively, try and keep the range of colours to a maximum of three colours.
- Include a barcode, record company label and copyright information.
- Make sure that the pictures are as clear as possible, no stretched pictures. Also try and have a really close shot of the artist (unless your genre or theme allows you to do otherwise)
- Use a font that is appropriate to your genre, and clear for the audience to read.
- Don't have a wide variation of different fonts (try and keep it at 2/3)
- Make sure there is no text covering the artists face.
- Have a consistency with your fonts, make sure they follow throughout your digipak.
- The artists name must be bigger than the album name!!

These are a few examples that follow most of the major conventions for an Album cover.
