Take 1
For the first couple filming sessions i literally had to colour my lips in with a blue lip liner, not easy at all. But thats what you get when you pick a colour that isn't considered popular/mainstream. Colouring my lips in with pencil wasn't easy nor was it effective as on camera it looked patchy and sort of caused a distraction.
Take 2
Realising that the pencil just wasn't good enough I decided to find a creative solution as literally no stores in London sold blue lipstick. I found a toy shop in wood green completely random, but thought i'd give it a try. To my surprise they sold soft pastel that can be used as face paint, or just to decorate your face for whatever reason. At that moment I decided to purchase it and try it on at home using flash lighting and recording to see if it appears smooth and lipstick like on camera.. and it did!
