This is a very short video on how the target audience for our video will be affected by one of the themes in our music video. There will be a Health and Safety issue because there will be smoking scenes in our video, and therefore will not get shown to certain audiences. This video has a brief explanation of why I think it won't affect us and our target audience too much.
Because the target audience is 18-24 I don't see there being many restrictions for any of them, but for a wider audience like 16-30 there may be a problem getting our video to be seen by anyone of the age of 16/17 because it is still illegal for them to buy cigarettes as of the first of October this year.
Nevertheless our target audience is strongly focused between the ages of 18-24, and mostly quite Hipster/ underground gritty. so there will be a lot of features for individuality and stand out figures in society so that our artists appeal to them, and also can be relative to our target audience.
We want to appeal to a number of different people, but we focus more on the people that see themselves to be more outsiders than others. That's why we have the producer 'YxWxA' with the different hairstyle in the video, magazines, social media and so on. Having an image like that representing the song through the video will allow people, that enjoy doing things most people who wouldn't step out of their comfort zone, to relate and hopefully feel more confident in doing them, and continuing to be themselves.
Also it could encourage a lot of people who are scared of the reaction they will get to finally overcome their fear and actually proceed into doing something they really enjoy, or like, without worrying too much about what other people will say, or think.
